Well yet again the budget has changed.... but i picked these up yesterday for 100 bucks and am getting a SFI approved 5 point harness for 35bucks tommorow... Then i will get a Hoop welded in place, so that I can safely mount the 5 point harneses...

Oh and my Cart In Summit is over 2400 bucks now... just waiting on two checks to actually say okay, and buy it all...

OH and i just read in my rules that I cannot use the Tranny Break in My High School class... this pisses me off... guess ill be foot breaking it.

Well all my tranny parts have been here for about a month...

i am having a buddy build my tranny for me. He volenterred to and im more than willing to let somebody that has built a few build it for me than me who has never built one...

here are some pictures

Untouched

Stock valve body. Getting replaced. Stay tuned!

Front cover and stator behind that.

A must have for a trany rebuild!

Governor (closest thing attached with the four bolts you can see.) and distributor sleeve (has the two tubes coming out of it)

Closer shot of the distributor sleeve and the vacuum modulator on the upper left.

Second gear servo cover and manual control lever.

Inside workings of the C4.

Low-reverse band

One way roller clutch

Original reverse-high clutches and steels. Pretty good shape.

Closer shot.

got a little done tonight. Got the case all cleaned up and the clutches in. Looks like we are missing some thrust washers so he is going to call on that tomorrow. Anyways, here are a few pics.

Reverse/high clutches and steels. Notice the stock pack has only 4 clutch discs and 4 steels (Left) and the new kit has 5 discs and 5 steels (Right). The thicker plates are the pressure plates and are what ride against the snap rings which hold these assemblies in the Reverse/High Drums and forward clutch cylinders.

Another

New thrust washer on the left and the old one on the right.

And another

The reverse planetary assembly.

Brake drum and the copper ring is a bushing and another thrust washer in the middle.

I will get some more pictures next time I'm out to show how all this goes together.
