MAC and Snap-On are about the same these days. Hell even the Craftsman "Pro Series" is expensive as hell.
I have a Snap-On box, the only reason I got it over Mac or Matco is because I got 50% off the box with a program from school. IMHO, Matco's new boxes are the best..... Ps... I said box a lot. |

There's a lot more engineering in a good toolbox than you might think. The Mac-simizer, or whatever Mac's highend toolbox is called is setup with ballasts such that you can take an empty toolbox, extend the top shelf all the way out, put 100% of your weight on the end of that shelf, and that toolbox will NOT fall over, or even tip. The tray won't bend, flex, or otherwise be negatively affected.

I agree...I don't really care what's name is on it as long as it functions well and can hold all my tools..but a name brand box makes it easier to sell when time comes

I mean hell, I would like to spend some money on tools and maybe a 3 stack craftsmen box or something like that...But 40K on a box? That will be like half a year's salary for me once I get out of college.

I wouldn't pay 40k but some techs think a huge box makes them look like a better tech*L* I used to luagh my ass off when I worked in a shop with my craftman's 3 box and them with their huge box with a payments each month paying for it..me pulling down 3x what there were...saw many times when mac,snap-on and other would repo the boxes*L*
