Got my first ticket....

Yup. As the title says...

I was taking a friend to pci up his car at a shop and we were taking some back roads. I'm following someone in front of me and I see a blue Corwn Vic with dark tint and by the time I saw it, I saw lights flashing...

He turned around and I pulled over. He said he got me for 58 in a 35. Funny thing is that the person in front of me was going even faster than I was, but whatever.

Magistrate said its a $140 ticket and my court date is 12/16/08... I'm pleading youthful offender because I have a completely clean record and am under 21...

But damn this sucks. I had to break it to my grandparents and my dad. Both were pretty disappointed.

No. My dad knows how it is. He's got quite a record....

I've just got limitations on my driving and I'm gonna be redoing the roof on my grandparents house. Not too terrible, but I do feel pretty shitty. I felt horrible having to break it to my grandparents... (the car is legally under their name even though I pay the bills on it)

its just a ticket. i've gotten 3. 2 for speeding. one was a 40 in a 25 which was in our expedition and the other was 79 in a 55, also got reckless op and a couple other offenses but got it taken down to a non moving violation

He also said that I was trying to elude because I was in 4th gear and it sounded like I sped up...

I told him if I was eluding, I wouldn't have pulled over and I would've taken a different turn.

THere should be a three ticket minimum when registering on this site... I got a DUI ( 0.08 BAC ) when I was 22 and when they printed out my record it was three pages long. Might want to look into the deferral program if its your first ticket. Its an extra couple bucks but as long as you dont get a ticket for like 6 months they take it off your record ( not completely off, you just dont get any points or marks ).

Thats how the youthful offender works 1fastfox. I pay the fine, and I never hear about it again. It's a slap on the wrist sorta thing. It won't show up on my insurance or anything, just on police records for future refrences

i did this once for 300 bucks. it is worth the insurance not going up 60 a month or so for a couple years
