So if you bid on an item and win whats the tme frame you guys woul start to get pushy.. I ad good communication all day sunday even after the item was purchased. obviously you cant ship on sunday so i wasnt to concerned but ere we are tuesdady and i havent gotten an item has been shipped or a response from the guy saying its been shipped.. Should I start getting on this guys back already? I mean its a Supercharger that i just paid $2600.00 so its definitely not something i wanna BS about I want my item or my money back you know? What you guys think?

yeah thats what i figured.. i would give him a few days cause it might not be easy to get down there during the week with work etc but when would you start? i mean i figure at least saturday right? Thats a full week and a weeknd day and it cant be shipped on a unday so saturday would be a long enough window dont you think?

I can give you a great example. I sold an item on Ebay last Thusday night. Friday right after work I went to log on to print off the shipping info. But. Guess what? No Internet!!
Some idiot constuction worker down town DSM cut thru some of the main fiberoptic lines that Mediacom uses to supply my cable & Internet. It wasn't fixed untill friday evening.
Which resulted in the shipping of the item to be delayed by 2 days.
Shit happens. Life happens.. What does the auction say for shipping time??

UPS ground is slow. Expect 4-5 days from the day he dropped off the item.
So you could get it as early as Thursday or late as Monday depending on what
day he shipped it & what time of the day he dropped off.

Don't they have to confirm all the funds are collected? Even PayPal takes 24 hours. BUT I think the seller should contact the buyer immediately with ship date info unless there's some unforeseen circumstances. A phone call would be a good thing. Understand the nervousness....I would be too.

The guy has up to five days to ship it before ebay can even take action.

I agree and disagree with what people have said...

If he approved the transfer of funds, then he should have done everything he could to get it off before Tuesday. You KNOW that 99% of the time that you post something like that, it's going to sell if it's reasonably priced, so he should have looked ahead and set aside a time to ship it.

Now, unforseen circumstances are very possible, but in the event that something happens that he can't get it shipped right away, he should have gotten ahold of YOU. Not you getting a hold of him. If his internet is down, I'm sure he knows someone that has operational internet that he could have used, or had that person email you.

I don't think a phone call to see what is up would be unreasonable at all. Now that he has your money, he should be doing everything in his power to get that out to you ASAP. To take his time and get it done when it's convenient for him is just bad business.


At least if *I* sold something, I would jump through hoops to get it out at the first possible second, and if that "first possible second" was 3 days later, I would definitely be in contact with them, giving them updated information every step of the way. But again, that's just me.

Edit: AND if it ended up being shipped later than it should have been, I would ship it free or something. Give them some kind of compensation for it. That's what keeps people coming back, and telling people about your business.
