I spent a total of 600 bucks on this computer two years ago. My processor is in need of an upgrade, meh its overclocked about 8% on stock cooling... and my ram is all fucked haha, two sticks of ocz, and one random stick. They are both ddr2 800 though.

I might buy another hard drive soon since they are cheep as fuck now.

I play CoD4 and 5 on Extra 1680x1050 everything with barely any lag so its somewhat a decent setup

sorry for the shitty cell phone picture, its a 20$ case anyway, its huge, and it came with LED fans, rice style

So post up your rigs, i know goober and chris both have nice setups. Post up bitches

silver_fbody, what AMD processor are you running? You just stated the speed, not the name. It looks to me like that CPU is definitely bottlenecking your whole computer, so getting another 8800 GT will be useless.

As for me:

ASUS P5N-E SLi Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
1024x2 Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 MHz RAM @ 4-4-4-12-2T timings
eVGA 7950 GT 256 MB

That's a pretty decent CPU. I haven't kept up on AMD for a while so I don't know what's new, but if you can always overclock it a little bit more for that extra edge.

I build my own, I used to have some radical setups. Liquid cooled, peltier-cooled, and I was working on a phase-change system when one hard drive failed ina RAID array and screwed everything up. It's not supposed to work like that. I lost alot of software, but the most heartbreaking thing I lost was pictures and videos that I took when I was in Korea that are irreplaceable. I spent a small fortune on data recovery, which meant uber-computers were not in the plans anymore. I play it safe now...I stick to quiet air-cooling. I don't OC anymore either.

Here's the one I had in Korea, in my barracks room: (yes...those are RAM coolers)

By fairlane_68, shot with E8800 at 2006-07-15

By fairlane_68, shot with E8800 at 2006-08-16

Between me and my roomate, there were 5 computers, two Xboxes, three cell phones, an iPod and a PS2. On weekends...all of them were running. Our goal was to make the lights in the barracks flicker at least once. We accomplished that goal.
