Tail light tint

What percent is most taillight tint?

Also, would the rolls you can buy from any autoparts store be fine to use on the tail lights? I'm not sure if tint is for 'inside' use only or if done properly can be used for 'outisde' use.

No you don't have to buy the spray kit. IMO, the tint looks better. But no, you cannot use rolls of tint from the auto parts store, you will never be able to get the bubbles out. Buy the tint on Ebay that is pre-cut for your tails. And I would say most people either run 20% or 10% tint.

Yeah. Don't get the ones off ebay that have adhesive either. I made that mistake and canned the project since it's im-fuckin-possible to get all the bubbles out without warping the vinyl. Use good ol' soap and water to adhere it to your tails.

I'd have to disagree. If you prep your lights and do the paint right, they look great. Plus you won't have any edges or lines that could possibly peel up.

That does look great, but its permanent, something that I did not want to do to my tails.

To each their own.
