The new 2010 Camaro is coming out spring of 2009. That's roughly 4-5 months away. You can pre-order them now. I've been a ford fan...always. I despise chevy's as most of you do as well. I give them respect because the LS motor is absolutely ridiculous!

I think Chevy is going to put a hurt on ford because for the same price that you can get a decently loaded GT, you're getting a 422 hp 6.2 liter v8 6 speed manual. You heard me, for a little over $30k you can have one of these babies and put a hurting on stock and basic bolt on GT's. Pllus it looks sexy as hell. I'm sorry ford, but your 2010 mustang is not going to do it. People are going to jump ship with the quickness. Ford cannot afford to wait till 2011 to come out with that 5.0 v8 that's rumored to be in the works.

The v6 version starts at $22k and you get a 300 hp v6!! Come on ford...you gotta do better then this

I think rather than trying to chase the Chevys and Dodges in a hp war, Ford needs to put the Mustang on a diet, and drop as much weight out of the car as is practicable.

Less weight will translate to better fuel economy, better handling, being easier on tires and brakes, better acceleration, better stopping... basically every measurable aspect of performance (with the exception of top speed) will be improved by weight reduction.

In the land of $5/gallon gas, which are people going to choose? The 450hp 4000lb car that gets 20mpg on the highway, or the 350hp 2800 lb car that gets 30mpg on the highway?

dodge has same thing 5.7 hemi(372hp) in the challeger for 30k and you can get a drag pak

Yes, they are selling much cheaper because of our shitty economy. I almost bought a mustang GT for $21,000. Wasn't fully loaded obviously, but it wasn't a bare bones one either. So yes, they are practically giving them away. I'm sure Chevrolet will be tight with sticker price for a good time, because a lot of people are going to want one.

What I'm trying to say is if I had a choice, for the same price, I'd take the camaro hands down. You'd have to spend over $40k in a rousch mustang to get the same power as the $30k camaro

Wrong!! It does have the 5.7l. The SRT8 version has the bigger engine you r refering to.
