I dont street race...

for a ton of reasons but... there was this asshat in a Chevy Cobalt SS taunting me. With my little 6 and minimal mods, did I have a chance?

It didnt sound SC. But it may have sounded like a turbo (IDK if they even put turbo's in them unless it was aftermarket). Also sounded like a 4 banger. It had a big ass ugly spoiler. Nice black factory paint job though.

Cobalt SS has been offered N/A, Supercharged, and Turbocharged.

The only one I see you having a realistic chance against is one of the N/A ones.

The turbo ones are a good match for S197 GTs.

My step mom has a N/A Cobalt SS. That bitch hauls ass. It's a low 15 second car EASY.

The SC ones are on par with New Edge GT's and the Turboed ones are with the S197 or a lightly modded New Edge, from digs of course. From a roll the Cobalt would probably slaughter.

The supercharged SS's are very quick little cars. Don't let it fool ya. Just the N/A one has quite a bit of giddy up. Moreso than my fathers Monte Carlo SS... Yeah, house full of Chevy's and I'm the lonely guy out with a Ford, but I stand proud

when the new SS cobalts came out, you couldnt hear the supercharge at cruising. One was fucking with me, thought i had it in the bag, till we started. I jumped him, then i hear this fuckin banshee screaming beside me, and he was gone. It's whine was loud, real loud.

I meant on the new edge stangs, not an S197

s/c SS cobalt does run high 13's, low 14's

i beat a n/a ss by 3 cars in my bolton lt1, pretty quick little car i must say. At the auction i drove a stage 3 or whatever SS which pulled about #22 of boost...

the stock 08 turbo cobalt ss ran a 8:22 on the Nürburgring track... 21 seconds behind a Nissan GTR... The e46 m3, and an r32 skyline also ran 8.22's so that should give you a good idea of what this thing can do.

I sent my check today for my LT's. I'll have them installed by December 15th Im hoping. after that, I'm going to go ahead and upgrade the coil pack/plugs wires. Hopefully with what is on there, Im a bit more competitive to other cars. I just have this feeling that its time to get a V8. Since I dont want to do gears and there's no way I'd spend money to SC, I think its time to get a new platform all together. The only thing I would consider is spray. I like that idea because its cheaper and the power is only there when I need it or want it.

So let me ask this. With my mods (+ the LTs, and ignition upgrades) PLUS a 100 shot, would I then be able to handle the Cobalt? The reason I ask is because somedays, Im in this nasty competitive mood and when some 18 year old little bitch is revving at a stoplight with no-one around, maybe.... just maybe it would be satisfying to leave him behind (...only to the posted speed limit of course).
