MSO wouldn't like that, someone else would be holding all his personal secrets and could spy on him or use all his data to somehow blackmail him. That someone most likely being the government of course.

I've corrupted my windows install many a times... its quite easy to fix wirh a dual boot system

It told you you have to pay for it cause of DRM, if you copy the files over from your windows partition, it should work just fine.

I ran suse for a while as a live cd but it was resource intensive and my poor lil p4 and 512 mb ram could barely even load that up.

I use Mepis right now and I'm satisfied with it =]

Though I play around with BT2 when I'm bored.

I have a world of PC's at work here and home. Got the apple G5 quad core running obviously leopard w/ dual boot windows on it. then the hp dual core (4gigs of ram) with 3 monitors hooked up to it running windows, then the lanbox (pretty baller, its some sort of custom pc thingy) running openSUSE. No problems with opensuse like i said...tried using ubuntu on my alienware a littlebit but it just would give me some problems. so i just installed xp on it and took that home...
