Computer help.

sooooo

i started installing ubuntu on my pc.. it asked me to partition part of my drive so i did

a hefty 5 gigs

but! it stopped halfway through and said i had an error on the disc or soemthing

so i burned a new one, and this one is perfect, and tried to install again

however, this time, the 5 gigs i partitioned is still partitioned to that ubuntu install and it wont let me use it for this one..

i only have a 32gig hdd lol, otherwise it wouldnt really be a problem

someone help me to figure out how to use that partitioned space, or return it to normal?

take a giant magnet and run it across your harddrive a good 10-12 times. That'll most likely get rid of that un-needed file.

if you open the ubuntu partitioner while you're installing, and you delete that partition, and then tell the installer to use it, it should work just fine.

well go right click my computer go to manage then go into disk management and delete the partition then remake it to try the install

before you do anything else, look into backup software....but i will say this much, you are an idiot for not backing up your data before testing a new OS...research every aspect before pushing the button...hell you couldnt even figure out how to fix a format issue, but yet you jump on the microsoft sucks bandwagon....learn before pushing a button
