I would have received my professional land surveyors license, and I would be paying for the tuition. But then guess what? There is not one god damn company hiring Land surveyors with the onset of winter and a huge lack of work to be done. Now tell me how that education helped me? Besides the fact that insted of just rent I now have a gigantic god damn tuition bill to pay.

So are you suggesting that a good education will see me through a recession as long as I can read the future in wich to base my major on?

I have 26K to pay and seriously it was for a tech school and I havent got a job in a shop yet after it. So as of right now im living proof of the giant tuition bill and no work out of it. I wish I would have gone to real school and got a degree at least I would have that and not just a certificate

Jobs in two fields that will always have an abundance no matter where the future is going....

best bet is in Medicine and second best bet is in Technology.

If everyone ran toward that then there would be no balance and it would be harder to make an honest buck.

Im working on that lol

I read an artical that said about half of the docs in the usa want to quit because of the health insurance red tape and the doc said it was more of a small business and not so much health care. When you spend more time doing paper work than seeing patients and alot of docs didnt take a business class to know how to handle it.

Half of primary-care doctors in survey would leave medicine - CNN.com

I have seen the sample test to become a doctor...and well fuck that lol

I was kick ass on the autopsy game and I know alot about medical vocabulary. and that test sisnt involve any of it.

Technology is a pretty broad scope, there is for certain one field that will always be needed so long as human beings exist, Civil Engineering. People need homes, not laptops

As long as you want to design houses the old fashioned way of pencil and paper, computer tech will speed up the process

Nice try Dr.Gonzo, my point still remains the same. Education is still (and always will be) the the way to find the easy jobs. Even in a recession.
everyone does this

every single person who has something to prove has done it the hard way, has worked for every single penny, paid rent, bought food, paid utilities, took care of children, still managed to buy a car, AND paid for college

not saying you're lying, but come on. this is such a common story that you hear from everyone, if you believe every one of them, you're a fool.

Easy solution: Americans start taking care of themselves, causing the huge healthcare conglomerate to fail, where many small clinics and solitary hospitals would pop up.

But, MSO, how can we take care of ourselves? I mean, surely you don't mean get off our asses and exercise!!! NEVAR!!! And you mean we have to carefully monitor our intake of good and bad foods? NEVAR!!! MOAR MCDONALDS!!

And so, the American healthcare companies continue to make enormous profits off a population that refuses to fix the root of the problem. Band-aids are, apparently, the American way.
