Stuck on what to do next to my car...

I have a job... and no car payments. But idk what to do mod wise.. I don't really want gears.. I am thinking exhaust. Are there any good superchargers for a 99-04 gt? that arent terribly expensive?....

Exhaust and superchargers are in 2 different price brackets... what's your budget? With 99-04 Mustangs, there's TONS you can do...

Try to find a used procharger or novi 2000. I would really look at gears though. The stock 3.27s are lame.

Sometimes. Make sure you read the post thoroughly and ask the seller questions. It's easier to get ripped off on ebay than it is on a forum where people can have rep, etc.

There's always good used Procharger and Novi 2000 kits for sale and even Vortechs.

You also may want to look at some 3.73s, a nice exhaust system and if you choose a blower a good tune. Do some good shopping and you'll find some good deals. Good luck!

If you want to go fast on a "budget" do gears, intake, exhaust and nitrous.

Well.. I don't like nitrous because it isn't all that safe.. I don't want my car to become unreliable.

Keep it 100 or under and get a good dyno tune and it's safe. PI intakes like to puddle, mostly with bigger shots.

Nitrous is definitely the budget power adder.

It being your DD actually makes it better. You're not running it all the time and you're basically just bolt ons when driving around. Just a turn of the knob and the flip of a switch and you're a street beast.

For tuning, look into something like a DeltaChip that has a switch, that way you can switch between the nitrous tune and the motor tune.

Then, while enjoying the spray, you can save up for some nice heads/cams and maybe even a bottom end to make a nasty boosted car.

Btw the car has 49k miles.. Idk if that is to old to mod or not. I think I will go n20.. Just not sure on how to install it.. I think I might be able to do it myself.

My car has over 80k miles and I've got a bottle in the back.

Install is easy. If you have any mechanical ability and can read, you're good. I installed my wet kit. Only needed a 2nd pair of hands to bolt the brackets down and feed the line through the firewall.

JL doesn't make head units.

My dream system would be an Alpine navi headunit, Type X components, 2 Type X 12's, two Alpine 1000 watt amps, and an Alpine 150x4 amp.

Or the Alpine headunit, JL components, 2 10W6s or W7s, and a 1000 watt amp and 4 channel.
