Nerd Alert!!!

I'm bored at work and got inspired by a quick comic argument with blacksunshine. What are some classic comic discussions/arguments that we could discuss?

Who is the strongest superhero? (i.e. in a head to head fight, who would win?) Some examples to throw in the mix immediately: superman, the hulk, wolverine, hercules, etc.

What superhero is the biggest cop-out (i.e. given ridiculous amounts of power)? I tend to think of Superman here, but guys like Magneto, The Sentry, Silver surfer. Arguments from newer comic story arcs could include Scarlett Witch, Molecule man, etc.

any other arguments people have heard of? or elaborations/answers to ones I posted?

hmm, any examples of this? I consider a lot of the minor heroes like Hawkeye to be underrated because they don't get much of a following.

never got into comic books but my brothers and i always had it out over this. I always said Mighty Mouse and he always said Superman. Im sticking with Mighty Mouse.

lol, mighty mouse has no weakness, unlike superman and kryptonite.

I hate the "strongest" superhero argument, because in most cases one superhero could take out another, but not all others. In superman's case, batman would beat him because batman knows his weakness, whereas someone like wolverine or hulk would destroy batman. Still a fun discussion though

You can't destroy a symbiote.

argument isn't about killing, it's about beating. Separate a symbiote from its host, and it's just a pretty puddle of guck.

What about when the symbiote is within the bloodstream and the host no longer has the ability to return to its human form.

Anyone like the whole DC vs Marvel comic saga? Later it converted into amalgam comics. Those were entertaining for a bit.

The joker and sabertooth tiger made the hyena and wolvering and batman created darkclaw. Great stuff IMO.

Never read much of those, but I was never very big into DC at all

The Marvel vs. DC was based on popularity and not their superpowers. For example:

Storm kills wonder woman and wolverine kills lobo.

but yea, major BS on Storm takin out wonder woman...I could at least make SOME argument that Wolverine could kill lobo
