which speaker has better sound

6x9's i think. I had pioneers in my old lumina and it made my car rattle, with the bass up, thats no subs too. The ones i have now are ok too, but i liked my pioneers

6.5 will have a better quality and clear sound, an oval with 2 round speakers in it will have the best sound but for a single coil you want the cone to be round for the best undistorted sound

my doors can take a 6 x 9 in my frontier which they have now....I guess I'm going with some alpine 6.5"

Speaker size is almost irrelevant to quality of sound... it's like asking which will make more power stock, a 2.0L turbo 4-banger or a 5 liter V8? You need more info to answer that.

Personally, I'd run the best brand you can afford; if you have a subwoofer, I'd go with the 6.5s, if you don't, the 6x9s.

6x9 has better bass because it makes a wider sound wave, but if you want clarity and crisp music quality the round speakers are the best
