Convertible Problem

So last night it rained......semi hard at periods during the night while I was at work. This morning I was driving around and I heard this liquid sound every time I turned a corner. I thought there was a water jug or something in my car so I looked around and in the trunk.....then it hit me. I knew there was water where my convertible top folds down into the car. Does anyone else have this problem with getting water in there..........this sucks I hate convertibles.

the same thing happened to me every time it rain hard. I would like to know if there's a simple fix for this. I believe its the weather stripping though. If anyone else got any idea.. let us hear it.

that sucks. I have done alot to my vert to keep it dry. Its only an 04 and I have had issues. The best way to do it is get a hose and get r wet. Follow the water a little at a time to watch where its making entry. Once you find the spot, its usually easy to fix. If you can provide some pics and find out where its at, I'd be happy to give some opinion.

IMO theres not an exact science with the top. Its not like the exhaust where if you find a leak, you can just replace the section. Alot of times its adjustments or small fixes that will work and there really isnt a manual to show you how! Its almost an art to do it right. I guess if your rich you can just have a shop replace the whole top! LOL. Find out where its comming in....

06!!! I hope not

My cars been hit by assholes twice. Both times on an angle which torqued the car just barely enough to throw the top out of wack. It doesnt take much to mess it up. A 1/4 inch can cause all kinds of hell. But with some patience, it was fixed without major money. No leaks at all now.

I think the whole top is better designed n the 05+.

I had that problem. It wasn't pretty. What ended up happening with mine, was that the rear window had sperated from the top. I was told there was no way to really re-attach it other than to get the top replaced. I wanted to do that anyways, cause I was starting to get little tears in some places. The sun and water and cold in the winters here isn't easy on the top. Cost me around $1,300 to get the new top, and glass window w/ defrost and with the labor added.
