LOL those are some specs for ya!
I would agree though, they are garbage. Did you do the install yet? If you were planning on using the factory amp for the subs, i hope you went a different route.

I'm still trying to find a JL Stealthbox. Those are perfect for our cars, but JL discontinued them

Fuck that dude. Custom!
I need to take some pics of mine. Hang on I may have some. Hey what do you know, here are two from my trunk. Custom bottom firing 10" infinity kappas. Amp is a 1400 watt alpine.

The second pic is the right side. Kinda shows there is a pocket of room back there between the sidewall and the sub box. Its a little bigger than some people want to go, but it sounds fuckin awesome and i love it.

Not to old of a thread, thought I'd share my project.
2 10's custom fit in between the rear seats (one of top of the other basically). There's nice steel bars over both subs, so if anyone sat back there they couldn't accidentally hit the sub. Amps sit in the back of the trunk, along with the capacitor. Sounds awesome! I have no pics, and the car is in storage, but I'll be sure to post up next time I have the car out. |

once i get my new set up, i'm taking out my back seat, puttin two 12" shallow mount RF P3s in a custom box where the seat is now, and in the trunk i'm going to have a custom setup for my amps and game system that i have hooked up to my 8" double din screen (doesn't fit in the stock hole).

The mach 1000 sounds great in my vert. It sounds awesome with the top down and up. Hell its one of the best factory systems i've ever heard. It still hits pretty hard with the top down. My trunk doesn't rattle to much either. There are plenty of places to run the wires between the back seat and the trunk. Just look behind the back seat inside the car and plan how you want to route the wires.

I have two kicker 12's in these slated single enclosures and they sound great, i had two 10's in my last car it was a coupe and they dont even compare i tried 4 different brands/specs of 10's in my coupe with 3 different amps 650 power acoustik, 1000w mono kenwood, 4 channel 1280 american bass, i have those two 12's on the 650 power acoustik amp and it outplays the 10's all day
