Third Brake Light Lens

I have checked with Napa,O'Rielly's Advance Auto Pep Boy's Ford Dealers and E-Bay. And I can not find a lens for my third brake light. Anyone have any suggestions I'm wide open for any ideals. It's not cracked it just has a whole bunch of nicks in it and it looks like shit. All my lens are shining but that one.

The car only went 8.0's however that was only on one stage. We were going to step the car up but cause of the cold weather decided to just try and make some rounds. We ended up taking 3rd place Friday Night. I will post some videos in the video section. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Hopefully I will have an answer on brake light lens tomorrow.

Thanks,
Chad

I found a company that will sell the 3rd brake light for $140.00 each. They do not sell the lens seperately. I could not find anyone that could. Let me know if you are interested. I believe everyone that asked will require the same 3rd brake light. Let me know.

Thanks,
Chad

does anyone know what year lens they are selling, not sure how true it is but i once read that the hazing/sandpaper look is a re-occuring problem for the lenses from ealier years (99-00) then was corrected somehow in the later years so I had been looking at one from an 03-04?

No I don't know what year it is. I asked for one for my 2000. I'll e-mail them and try to find out.

I e-mail ford and they said: That the third lens is made from the same material as all the lenses.

Sorry that is a way better price then I can get it. Infact I am almost double....Good find on the part and I definately don't blame anyone for buying a part that is cheaper through someone else. Glad you found what you are looking for and let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,
Chad

I found a peel guess that's what it's called. For the third brake light lens. This company makes a contact paper that has writing on it you chose. That covers your lens. It's only $16.00 including S/H. Found over in MustangWorld. I'll post their email address later. I ordered one for myself. It's suppose to be here in 3 days. I'll let you all know how it turns out. This is a cheaper than buying a whole new light.
