Goodyear Really...

So last year I go into discount tire and pick up a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 all season tires for the front of my car then a few months later go in and get the other two for the rear.
Well back in August or September can’t remember I go in for a standard balance because I felt some vibration in the wheel. Tire tech comes in the lobby and shows me my front tires and on the inside wall of both of them cracks all the way around. Tells me manufacture defect I need new tires. Of course I didn’t get the warranty because I live by the motto of Ill shredded them before I can use it. So slap in the face two new front tires.
Well now I am in the auto shop last week and themechanic tells me the noise I’m hearing in the rear is not a bearing but a belt in the tire has snapped and you can feel an indentation in the tire. That’s awesome… I want to like Goodyear but 3 strikes and you’re out… Now I contemplating running on the bad tire till it goes or get wallet raped again and replaced it with what I did with the fronts. Michelin pilots sports A/S

Sorry to hear about your tire troubles PhxMustang.

I would speak with the store manager at the location you purchased the tires from. I'm sure they'll be able to work something out for you.

Keep us posted and thank you for your continued support.

Update:
Stopped by Discount during the lunch hour and was told some interesting things. First when it came to my first pair of Goodyear F1’s the tire tech told me the side walls cracked due to lower tire pressure not manufacture defect. I find this odd because I am anal about my vehicle, keep an electric pump in the trunk and check the tires whenever I go to the car wash. I find it even odder that it was only the two tires bought together and both only on the inside side walls.
Moving on that’s in the past and I already replaced them. Now to the second set of Goodyear’s. I had them pulled off and inspected. There was nothing apparently wrong with the tires but the wheel were rebalanced. At the time I was also informed that the tires where low at 30 psi (I glanced at the tech’s gauge when he tested the tires). However on my receipt it says the tires where filled to OE standard of 30. I thought OE was 34 I will have to research this.
Any way I was happy I didn’t have to spend any cash today and will run these tires till they go. Just don’t like being told different things from two reputable shops. I will still continue to shop discount.
*Note noise in the rear is still there but am used to a loud exhaust anyway.
