Which Tires??
Hey guys, need to know what you have found to be the best hooking street radial tire. I just switched classes and its a heads up street car class that you can only run a 255/60/r15 or equivalent off the self street tire. No drag radials. With a treat wear of no less then "180".

brg radial t/a here also (used to get 1.8ish 60' in my cutlass back in the 80's) you can also (if you can run a bias ply) try mc creary. they make a street stock dirt track tire that works great, some guy's at our track still holding out on d/r's & using them.

nitto's are fine but only come in modern sizes. for what the o/p is needing to do he'll need to run the max size he can (as stated 255/60) so he can work the sidewall to his advantage as much as poss.

I have ran on the Nitto's before and they did good but Casper GT is right they are really all in your modern sizes and I really need a good side wall to hook up. I have done some looking around making some calls and it sounds like believe it or not Futura's are what most people are hooking on the best. I also found the Goodyear Eagle GT II's that have a nice tread patch and a lower tread wear from all the other tires of the same size. |
