tires for track


dont know if this question has been asked, (couldnt find it anywhere) but are the Nitto extreme II good for the track? i dont have another set of wheels and lazy to be switching tires every time at i go to the track or streetraces, errr, i mean mexico. would these tires be decent at the track? any help would be greatly appreciated guys!

Will not hook with those tires....

Get a set of extra wheels and mount some slicks up....you will never look back.

Just get a set of the stock 6 cyl wheels

They are alright, better than street tires. I heard the mickey thompsons are better and the bfg's are worse. I'm getting some slicks as soon as I can though.

Good choice. I wouldn't use them for daily drivers though. Suck balls in the rain.

bfgs are way better then nittos, imo nittos suck , i haven't seen a fast car on nittos yet

Im ordering some Hoosiers this year for my street tires i think they have BFG beat this year!!

I have to agree with you on this. hoosier's really seem to be doing really well.
I had the 315 bfg drag on my 18 inch for street tires. they did well. But i have heard Hoosier are holding over 600 hp very well.

Before going and telling someone they should get slicks, you should first ask if the car is a track only car or if the car is their way of getting back and forth to work. If a car is someones daily driver, they dont need to be launching on slicks when a axle could snap at any time.
