texas motorplex 2/7/09

well, after waiting all this time to finally go run the 1/4th mile now i know why i rather go to the street races!
waited for over 3 hours in the same spot to run only 1 time the entire day! i even asked for my money back but they said they could only give me a raincheck but i dont think i'll be going back.
then when i finally get the to run they were rushing us in couldnt even stage right when the lights were starting to go off!
had a 2.1 60' using m/t drag radials because i only had a chance to stall to 1k rpms! shit, i launch higher than that on street tires! last year, i had a 2.1 on goodyears street tires launching at 2500 rpms.
well, ran a 13.9 @ 99mph w/ that 2.1 60'

on the way home i race my buddy in his '07 GT (he ran a 13.7 that day) and beat him by half a car from a 50
and my friend in his mach (he ran a 13.3) i was on his bumper
so i know my car is faster than a damn, 13.9!

That sucks. I still haven't made it out there yet. It's a nice track but i'm not surprised it was packed. What day did you go?

i might give it another try on the last friday of this month for "fast fridays"

Your car is a 13.9 car....doesnt matter what you race on the street.

i went out there for a fast friday and there was only about 20 cars running that night. it was at the end of the season also.

yeah you're right, it was a 13.9 car that night! i'll keep you informed on what it really does this weekend!
