Z06 vs the ol Bullitt!

So I raced my old highschool friend today. Hes got a 2004 corvette z06 with cams, headers, intake, and a dyno tune. We raced 3 times...the first time I got him 5 cars to 120, the second and third time I got him about 3 cars to 120. It was a blast, being hes always beat me. I finally got to be in front for a change.

Just wanted to share my victory with you all and I represented us very well today.We had the whole community of my neighbors watching, including the sheriff deputy next door. peace and long live the underdog!

The first race was from a dig and the second was from a 30mph roll. Both cars with drag radials(i got 555rs and hes got the bfg dr.) hell of a race! wish I couldve got that shit on video.lol

probably so...hes always been like that. This is the first time Ive been out front of him, but everyone else that has beaten him( another buddy with a 03 cobra, and a friend with a nitrous coupe) he always has sold what he has to by something else faster. hes got plenty of money. I got 3 kids and a wife so I got to make mine last a while. He was wanting to race over and over. It wasnt going to change anything but just add wear and tear on the motors so I talked him in to surrendering. Just fun and games cuz!

i dont know, i havent ran this car and setup yet. I know he said his best was a 7.20 in the 8th. The 1/4 mile is kinda far from where I live, but as soon as I get to go Ill let yall know my times. Im hoping for mid 11s if I can hook maybe lower, I dont know. I will be posting some street racing vids next weekend. We're going to do it again and film some big money races of some nitrous coupes, ls1 s , vettes, lightnings, cobras, and of course me. My vette friend and I plan on doing a little hustling.....

I hope! My tuner said he thought Id be mid 11s, but I may throw in some race gas and add alittle timing to get more out of it at the track.

Hopefully the street races out there arent gay like the ones out here. Nobody wants to just race for fun anymore. Everybody wants to race for money and I think its stupid.

I highly doubt that^ if all he has is a cam, headers, cai, and tune. Or he was doing 5K rpm launches on a day with perfect weather. lol

well, ive personally seen him run a 7.50, so I kinda believe him. and yeah they are "gay", everyone wants to race for money, but thats the good part. Im not big on money races, we're just going to go give them a taste of their on medicine. There are certain people who just have it coming... Honestly I dont know what vettes run in the quarter, I think anywhere from 12.3s to 11.8s. peace
