thanks guys. i really want gears and a t-lok before march 26 weekend, but i dont know if i will have the time to do the swap. i really would hate heading down to cecil with a one wheel peel. i will be cutting it close, but hopefully i can get the gears in and some more track time by then.

i wonder how much 4.10s and a t-lok will cut down my 60' and especially my e/t? currently, i am in the middle of 3rd gear powerband- 4500-5k rpms at the 1/4 mile trap, i hope 4.10s wont put me quite in 4th gear so i can upshift and slow down easier.

The T lok ant 4.10's will bring the 60' down about a tenth of a second at best. But that is a big change to be honest.

You really need some suspension work and some DR's to make a big difference.

DR= drag radials? i will have a set of slicks for track use. i could use some suspension work; all i have is a subtle lowering spring

i just need to not spin at the start and not fear punching it on the last yellow...

don't run the slicks until you swap for that 8.8

I WOULD SAY THAT IF YOUR PULLIN AN .049 LIGHT, YOU REALLY DONT NEED A WHOLE LOT MORE WORK ON IT UNLESS YOU ARE BRACKET RACING. IM TELLIN .049 IS VERY IMPRESSIVE FOR MOST PEOPLE AND YOU GET IT OUT ON YOUR FIRST TIME. IT TOKK ME A YEAR TO BE WERE I COULD GET A .029 CONSISTENTLY. ANYWAYS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

thing is, i will be bracket racing, so i need consistently low r/t and consistent e/t's. and no slicks until the 8.8", the 7.5" is not worth it

Then (as you may have guessed already) don't to anything more to the suspension until you have the 8.8. Otherwise you will have wasted money.

But anyway, the 7.5" isn't worthless. I know some people that run mid 12's with the 7.5", it obviously is beefed up plenty, but it is still lighter than the 8.8". But just getting an 8.8" can be a little less trouble/work.

well down the road i will see 350+ hp with a charger and i dont see how the 7.5" rear and axles can handle the torque that comes with it. i just need to see if i can get the 8.8" rear before mid march
