Another example of apples to oranges... Those cars are not even a fair comparison. It's quite obvious that those are built cars that are capable of being driven on the street. Tims car is a factory built car that is capable of being raced. My setup is similar to Tim's and I just went on a road trip (around 750 miles) and got 30.52 miles per gallon with the a/c on and could have pulled in off the interstate and ran some 11 second passes, then finished my trip home with no worries... For the small amount of money you have invested Tim, you are doing great!!! Powdered rods and all...

You have to remember...my comment wasn't aimed at you. I also went as far as saying, "I'm not taking anythign away from you". An 11sec daily in my books is great. And 600 miles a week is about 2 tanks of gas, so I get your point lol. But for ke^in to say thats becoming a race carl; however, thats just absurd.

30.52 MPH on a 750 Mile Trip yea . But i bet it sucks Every Day Driving.
Probably lore like 16-18mpg.

I know its apples and oranges,But where you live to where we live is apples and oranges also.Im sure the Z or the mustang could make it on a 750 mile Road Trip,And Break off some 9 sec passes, Its just not the Ideal thing to do.

and im not knocking time by no means his car runs Great but in Orlando thats the Average car...

haha damn, here in kansas, every one says my car is lighting! the 11 sec is hard to find around here. OOOOOORRRR the 11 sec has a driver that cant put it there so its more like a 13 sec car.

You have some nice numbers for your car bro, im hoping to dive into the 11's this summer as well. And even if i dont hit the 11's i'll still be happy haha.

Combined it gets 20-23. Hard driving staying in the boost alot it gets 14.5. Highway it gets 30.52 For a daily driver, or on a road trip a car that runs in the 11's and gets that kind of gas mileage definately does not suck... What about your daily driver, I suppose it's in the 11's since that's the norm there... and it gets better fuel economy too I'm sure. I've seen enough footage of other peoples rides...show us your daily hoopty. That would be apples to apples my friend...

True, you are just way too cool for us.

Because, everyone knows... there are only 5 or 6 fast cars in Houston..., and Rockingham, N./S. carolina area one or two, and maybe 3 in La county; we all really appreciate you Florida guys swallowing your pride and being a part of the forum. From all of us, to you. Thanks

Sounds like you took that personal, when it shouldn't have been taken in any way at all. He's simpily stating the facts. Most of the cars around this side of town are 11sec cars, and most are daily drivers. More then enough 10 second cars to go around as well. Don't take offense guys.

Point missed... show you I will...

EVERY state has a number of areas that have very fast street cars.

(my apologies to most, for restating the obvious for those that may have been in the sun too long)

On the 118 pass I thought I blew the motor about 30' from the traps. It let out a loud bag and fell on its face. I really thought it was new motor time. i had less than 2 gallons in the tank at that point so I think it was uncovering the pump pickup. Which probably had it running lean through some of the run until it ran completely out at the top end. The MPH was kinda low at the 1/8th so I think it went lean in the last 1/8th and picked up some power. Here are the numbers.

R/T .146 .155 .062
60' 1.825 1.819 1.844
330 5.089 5.124 5.154
1/8 7.743 7.790 7.824
MPH 94.43 96.49 96.47
1000 9.992 10.084 10.110
1/4 11.880 11.994 12.019
MPH 118.85 115.16 115.16
