Finally went to the strip

I finally went to the track. It was my first time ever and i made about 10 passes with some friends. I had a blast!!! My car wouldnt really hook up, so i couldnt stall up to high or i'd just spin and it killed my time, but my best e/t was 14.20@100.62 Slow, i know... gettn gears soon!

My best with those mods you have and the first time at the track for me was a 13.92 but i had 315 summi tires which are just as bad as stock tires so not horrible. Get gears and m/t drag radials and I went from a 13.92 to a 13.2

Thats what i'm thinking! and i'm gettn 10.5in wheels with 315 nittos out back.

the 315 nittos made a big difference on my car,i got my DD bullit rims and tires from american muscle mounted for around $650 that way u don't have to get front rims too.also i think u get some kind of discount from AM with a code from moddedmustangs,never used it but after i bought tires i read a thread where someone mentioned it,hopefully someone will reply and tell us about it.

So was that a good time for my first time ever goin down the strip and the mods i have? Or should i be getting better times? and i think its a lil faster, everyone else i talked to didnt have their best times that night, weather maybe? idk... i dont like to make excuses, just sayn. lol

Sounds about right to me. The main thing is you had fun and you will improve after a few more times out.

yeah, not too shabby. weather does play a role. if you use a DA calculator it will give you your corrected times.

hehe... did you hook up right away? I spun till like the freakn 60... The track wasnt that good that night, everyone else i talked to had bad times... idk if it was track prep or the weather. I had to just stop stalling and just punch it after a while, spun too much.
