go ahead and keep it in OD but i reccomend you look to the modded mustangs magazine they got a auto mustang with a 93 octane tune, cold air intake, 3500rpm stall and stickys in the low 12's.

Traction control off. O/d OFF. Loose the 20 and get some 17`s with some MT`S DR`S. (DRAG RADIALS)

I agree just loose the 20`s they will kill you. You can get an extra spare tire and run the 2 up front. Then you would only need 2 17` wheels, and dr`s for the back.

Here a few other tricks you can do. Remove the front sway bar, washer bottle, pass. seat , rear seats, spare tire, carpet in back, and jack.

I would say yes it is good for that amount of speed. I have had mine at 117 a few times. I checked into it a bit, and they are a decent steel belted tire. I do feel safer on my stock tires. Well I went to BFG G force sports.

psi takes some testing, each car reacts differently even with the same mods. With your 20s on you won't have much tire wall to work with, but drop them down to 20-25 psi and see how they hold up. With the mods you have listed, you could still rev up a little bit before blowin the street tires up, just need to test it out with each run. Start out at 1500 and bring it up 250 RPMs each pass. I doubt you'd be able to go any higher than 3500 before breakin loose.

I'd be willing to bet the spare tires would be ok for the front for a few passes, but I wouldn't want to do it all season or for sustained speeds like that. I'd only consider using them if I REALLY needed to shed some pounds or make some great times in a race.

Auto trans try both launching from idle, and holding as high as you can. I would practice this in your driveway or suitable area.Just see which launches you off faster.
