He also just got an 11.86 @ 121 timeslip with I think the same mods. :O Go to 2:00 in this video:

I don't see how he picked up 12 MPH with the same mods, maybe he was using nitrous.

What the hell is that noise during the vette vids?

If you mean that whine during acceleration and especially during decel, then it might be because of the sequential transmission it has. Just a guess.

Maybe your butt dyno is broken? In actuality though, bigger, quieter, smoother cars feel slower even if fast. If you ever drive a Lexus ISF it feels slow, yet will run mid-high 12s all day. Yet a stock fox body feels fast as shit running low 14s rattling down the track Different cars have different feel, for instance my car feels slow as fuck to me unless I am watching the speedometer while I accelerate.

That 12.86 run even had a shitty 60'. Give that car DRs and a gear and see what it does. It can run 9s though and it will still be ugly. Though it is growing on me.

A shop in Houston just ran their cam/lt/cai/tune 480rwhp manual camaro down the track and on street tires it ran 12.3. Their head/cam/lt/cai/tune auto camaro with around 480rwhp(the autos suck A LOT of power) ran 12.2 also on street tires. I'd hate to see what they'd both do on DR's.

Going from a 12.2 to an 11.8 would probably be a 75-100 shot...fwiw. the LS3 loves n2o.

It is amazing with bolt-ons, even moreso than the LS1/6.

LG Motorsports can pull 150+rwhp from just heads/cam/intake on an LS1, the LS3 is no different, even more power available.

The '10 is putting down 360-370rwhp stock, although a guy just dyno'd a stock 09 LS3 and put down 389rwhp.

2010's with cold air intake and longtubes are about 420rwhp/401rwtq...
The mufflers on the car are a HUGE restriction.

Not that I'm a nutswinger...

You also have to remember, these are IRS cars. They get babied off the line, and then get into them. We cant launch like the mustangs can...damn I miss the launches in my 05.

I just raced one Friday night. I don't know what his mods were, but whatever he had was working right...We went from a roll and I beat him...but I didn't run off and leave him like I thought I would. That fucker gave me a good run, but then again he might have been spraying for all I know. After we ran I slowed down to run him again and he jumped onto the freeway on ramp to keep from running me again...

Agreed... I'm anxious to race another one to see what's up. I think he was pretty pissed that I beat him, especially after he chased me down to race in the first place. It didn't turn out the way he thought it would...lol
