lol there is a guy on svt and ls1tech whose stock ls1 ran 13.0 with just a 2.0 sixty foot. considering that it sucks pretty bad that a supercharged gt wouldn't be able to outrun a stock ls1. and the ls1 actually trapped 107 as well lol...anyway, your right. it most certainly will get quicker. just looks bad is all.

and OP, i'm so happy for you. that your car with over 100 more to the wheels runs a whole tenth faster than mine!

lol and i'm sure your gt was gear/exhaust only too

maybe i should just say that vortech gt's with 2.1 sixty foots have pitiful results IMO

maybe it just bugs me cause i see the guy i know run down the track and run 8.6 (he says, best i saw was 8.7) and he is blown. then you see a bolt on gt run down the track and run the same time or very close. your like what the heck. makes no sense. and makes the blown gt look bad...i suppose he could have spun after the sixty foot but he did cut a 1.9 and still ran that bad. my buddies made fun of it.

Well its all in how its setup. The car needs a new tune and a few more bolt-ons to make the blower happy. That shows with the 106 mph trap. The car still has a stock gear so right before the traps he is shifting into forth or bouncing off the rev limiter in 3rd. It could use some help coming out of the hole. It will see mid twelves or better easily once all the kinks get worked out of it.

Ok guys give him a break, no ones going to do great their first time at the strip. No matter who tells you they do theyre not!!! Get some supporting mods on the bullitt and watch it fly, really you have the power to go low 12s with it after some seat time and traction!!!
And Mrbigjeep its kind of hard to compare his car to a ls. Its like apples and oranges if it came down to that you have more mods than I do and look what i run compared to you... Buts thats NOT a good comparision.

yeah no doubt i agree with both of yall. and the main reason i make the comparison is just because it sucks pretty bad to see that gt run that time at the track and know that its no faster than a bone stock ls1 fbody. regardless of a 2.1 sixty foot, you would think a blown gt could still run better than a stock fbody time. i mean an fbody can have a 2.1 sixty foot as well and still run that time. and it be bone stock as opposed to supercharged. but no doubt it has a lot more in it. i agree it could see low 12's

another reason for the comparison is just that many ls1's run that time with the same sixty foot and 50 less hp. maybe they are different but thats what people see and then it means gt's really suck lol. just makes for kind of a hard argument when they see that happen at the track.

Yeah dude you do have a good point there. He really needs some seat time on the track, and im not nutswinging or anything but you drive the heck out of your gt for those times. In this area you'd rip ls1s, and gts with a lot more mods on the track!

But it all boils down to the driver... Oh and some good tires thats my problem right now!

You're still comparing apples to oranges. You obviously don't see that this was my first time out. I bet you didn't run that great your first time out either. So, either bring some constructive criticism or STFU! I could give two shits what your GT with bolt ons runs or what a stock LS1 runs. I was out having some fun and then you have to come along all big shot and piss on my parade. If you have nothing else to say that would either help me or bring up valid points do me a favor and troll someone's else's thread.

Thanks. I'm used to the power, just not used to the track and all the little things that help get down the 1320 faster. 14.1 isn't bad at all for stock. That's right about what they run stock any way. Nice job.

555r's are a decent tire but try and get some bad ass rubber and watch that 60' drop. Also, 18psi seems a little low. Did you experiment with different pressures?

i ran between 18-22psi when i ran radials. nothing beats 9-11 psi on slicks with tubes and screws though.

No, I didn't experiment with different pressures. I was going to get the feel and handle on things before doing anything else. Maybe next time out I'll try that.

And they are geared differently as well...bullitt 3.27s f-body 3.42s are you starting to get the picture on how you can't compare an apple to an orange?

FWIW, our Bullitt is very similar to the OP's, and here's the timeslip from it's first time out.

12.9 @ 110
375whp/375wtq
2.1 60'

FULL street trim : 40psi in 245/45/17 Fuzion ZRi's, still had spare/junk in the car

Funny enough, I raced 3 LS1s that day... a Z28, a WS6, and a C5... and beat all of them.

Are there a handful of LS1 F-bodys that have gone high 12's, stock? Sure.

However, there aren't many stock, FULL street trim LS1s running high 12's and trapping 110 w/ a crappy 2.1 60'. In fact, I'd wager there aren't ANY that fit that bill.

The LS1 F-body is much faster, stock vs. stock, and it's a great engine, but it's still silly to compare the absolute FASTEST ever stock LS1's against the guy's times from his FIRST time out.

I took me a long time to get my times down, first time out with the supercharger i was clipping 8.8's and then started getting the sixties down and went from 8.8-.7's to low 8's and now im cracking off 7.9's with slicks and a k member kit....practice makes perfect...
