anyway, i'm going to go pull some shit out of my trunk and backseat. anybody have any tips for a newb? all i've got is jlt cai, 93 performance tune, nitto 555s, and half a tank of gas.

wish me luck.

well, i pussed out. not really, but i wish i would've taken my car at least. i was pulling some shit out of my trunk when i started thinking about all the maintainance i've been putting off. i haven't changed my oil in 6000 miles, i need an alignment (my steering wheel jerks off and on at about 45), etc. so i decided i didn't want to push my luck. so tomorrow, i'm going to do all the shit i just mentioned and then head to the track that night. good idea?

yeah, he ended up pullin 8.5 tonight. when he told me 9s, i was kinda thinkin, damn that's sounds slow for a turbo. but then i watched him drive and now i know why. i swear he was launching from an idle. but i've got no room to speculate till i get out there myself.

Stock: 3.55, 255/45/18 BFG KDW @15 psi, pretty much sea level. 1/2 tank of gas and nothing taken off the car (street weight).
I ran a 8.99 with a 2.2 60-ft dropping @ 1800 rpm

CAI + 4.10, 255/45/18 BFG KDW @ 34 psi, same track, 1/2 tank, street weight.
8.55 with a 2.10 60 ft driving it off the line (slipping the clutch to have minimal wheelspin while giving it 1/2 to 3/4 gas)

Don't know how good that went as you don't hear your tires much over the noise of your own car and the one ext to you, plus I race with the top and windows up.
