track times again.

well here goes.any advice you guys may have hit me up.also some cell vids my buddy shot i dont see smoke really from my tires compared to my street tires from b4.tires 20s shelby razors.305/35/20 nitto DRs
C&L cold air with diablo 93 oct tune
4.10s and weld in flows.

first run.short burn tires at 25psi.launched round 4k spun 1rst a bit and 2nd got squirely and was speed shifting till 3rd.realized and power shifted to the end.
.516 r/t
2.091 60
5.847 330
8.937 1/8
79.97 mph
11.576 1000
13.810 1/4
99.98 mph
second run.the best run.better burn but tires at 20psi.launched round 4k again.less spin more of a good chirp but longer second small chirp but still got abit to the side and this time i powershifted all gears.
.992 r/t
1.985 60
5.748 330
8.855 1/8
79.67 mph
11.504 1000
13.744 1/4
99.67 mph
last run
tires 20 psi.burned for what i thought was a good bit of time.launched bout 4k again.car launched better than ever.dont think i heard really a peep from the tires.got a bit of a head rush i guess you can say this time dont know why,but a little under half way thru first i hear a pop from the rear and come out of it so i let off for a split second but just that quick i said fuckit if it broke its broke and got right back on it.power shifting all the way.
.442 r/t
2.084 60
5.869 330
8.965 1/8
79.84 mph
11.606 1000
13.839 1/4
100.43 mph
now after that run i park it and just knew i would find something broken on the suspension cus of how hard it hooked.but i found nothing.only thing i saw was that the driver tire was sticking out past the fender a little more than the pass rear.I never noticed this before.Juco looked at it and said it couldve been that way from the factory and that it happens.shows more with the tire setup i have.he could be right.Figure i noticed it now cus i was looking for something to be wrong.here is a link to some pics i have before the track and tell me what yall think.

Pictures by petyweestraw - Photobucket

and also a link to my last trip with my old set up.take a peek and compare to see what ive done right or wrong if youd like.

Your 60ft got alot better. If you add some mods and keep your driving that way you will be low 13's no prob.

Tellin you now, those 20" radial are pointless with anything over 16lbs of air at the strip.. If you have an air station at your track to refill after your done running, then start coming down with the air pressure in 2lb increments. The key is to be consistent prior to making tweaks.

2.0 60's will never get it done. With that tire you will have to be creative in driving and use any gimmick you can to get the best traction possible.

Also, you will spin a dr on the track and not feel or see it like you do on a street tire. Watch what your RPM's closely.

hmmm nice advice.i figured 20 was low.maybe too much wheel and tire.Im stuck with them now tho lol.But screw that my friend only has delete plates, pullies, mid pipe, bassani axleback, with 4.30s and dyno tune with 309 to wheels.hes rolling on chrome foose 20 by 10s and pulled of a 13.074.its not the car its me.she has it im just not using it right.

1.9 isn't bad...i say slip the clutch. don't just dump it. this led me to 1.8 sixty foots.

rev it up and slip it out while giving throttle

Yeah the biggest problem is the damn wheel hop.Didnt happen with my street tires but the DRs dont like letting go lol. it starts to spin ok at first but then starts to hop b4 they smoke. If i cant getem hot i cant hook and driving my crazy.Time to lower it or get a uca and some lcas. was thinking bout steedas stop the hop pack seeing as they are only 299 and juco can probly get them even cheaper.I like the look of the drop but droping hurts the launch from what ive read.Less wheight transfer.

Agreed... this is the $$ part... you have the power... NOW have to make is useable.

Good suspension set up and you are running high to mid 12's.

'tis a necessary evil to spend as much on suspension/drivetrain as you do on hp... if not MORE.

you get better weight transfer with a stock ride height then some slamed ride. so yes. i wouldent lower it much.

If it really bother's you. just buy some drag spring's and trim 1/2 or a hole coil off.

really really weird you ran a 13.7 with a 1.9 and then a 13.5 with a much worse 2.3

if thats correct then you EASILY have 12'vs when you get yourself a 1.8 sixty foot or better.
