A 350Z runs 5.2 0-60. The 350Z will win by a car length in the 0-60 while in 2nd shifting in to 3rd. I will race my 350Z anytime and anywhere vs a Mustang GT. And I will even give the Mustang GT a football field stock for stock in a Mile run. The Mustang GT is too heavy and too clumsy and will take approximatley 350hp for a Mustang GT to beat a 2003 287hp auto 350Z. Versus a real 350hp/350Z a Mustang GT will need approximatley 430-440hp to drag faster. That's with a Mustang upgrading to an Cold Air Induction, headers, cat back exhaust with-out cats, require (2) racing fuel pumps, injectors, rails, electronic R ignition, weight reduction, a complete engine swap and bore the engine 3X time over in addition to new cams and pistons. Then change your throttle body. O did I forget to mention that a Mustang will also need to bore the combustion chamber angular to acheive this kind of hp. This is why the 370Z has to run vs the *Mustang Shelby GT 500/500hp*. To support this the 300hp 300ZX Twin Turbo from the 1990's that's last century tore up the streets vs the 4.6L V8 225hp GT. The Mustang GT will never be faster than a Z. That's like saying a Mustang is faster than a 300hp Porsche 911 Carrera.

287hp
300hp
306hp
323hp
332hp
350hp
is what your Mustangs are up against already running 5.2's 0-60 from stock. You will loose. My license plate says "T'ang and SS Killer" right under my Nissan "350" emblem and don't forget it. Now you know who to race and I hope your car does 160MPH or does it still max out in the 140's? Because that's how fast the Tang is gonna have to go to run the intangible Mile. Mustang ranks at the bottom at #100 followed by the #99 Camaro in the top 100 going by fastest 0-60 times. Mustang owners are full of croc and the GT's where never faster than any of the twin turbos Japan brought here. Every day I see the pizza men delivering pizzas in Mustangs with the pizza hut logo on top and is a class D car. I'm calling the bull flag!
'The fuck is this guy? I had a 350Z before the mustang, it was a great car, but will run door to door with a New Edge and get smoked by an S-197 stock for stock. And you type like a 5th grader who forgot to take his ritalin. I wish I still had the Z, but I wouldn't give up my Mustang for it.

EDIT: I also owned a 3000GT VR-4...and it was slower than a New Edge even with full exhaust, boost controller, and intake.

Exactly, I think he needs to pull up on a real New Edge.

i used to destroy 350zs and g35s in my new edge gt. the g37s and 370zs were a different story though. the new ones are a totally different animal.

Ya, like I said, the 350Z was an amazing car for what it is. This fool must pick on sixxers, because they are a 14 second car with a good driver. The handling? No question, the prize goes to the Z...that thing was on rails. It's just not much of a drag car.

so the new edge stock vs 350z stock go door to door? wow, I am impressed considering the fact that around those years, Ford didn't give too much thought to the GT off the lot while Nissan was doing their best (to an extent of course) for the 350z off the lot.

Note: Yes, I am a fan of the 350z but I rather have american.

You should have nothing to worry about if you go off the line. I beat two G35's and 350z when my car only had a Flowmaster catback and K&N filter. I have an 03 GT. The 350z automatic was a joke and the two stick G35's hung in a little better but I still put a car length on them by 90mph. If you go from a high mph role on the highway then it will definitely be very close.

I've beat plenty of G35s and 350Zs from a stop. You should be able to win the 1/8 mile, but I don't know how your models respond with the automatic transmission. Still you should be ok; Good luck and let us know what the result was.

P.S. Don't get cocky and go for the 370z

I make 350z's bleed oil. All I have is a short throw shifter and the FRPP 'S' exhaust. 350z's usually have me in first, but as soon as I have second the race is over. When I am hitting third I am at least a car length ahead of them. I have also played with a G35 on a twisty course, and he could not drive, so I wound up winning.
