First 1/4 mile run.

Ran my 1st 1/4 mile. Times were disappointing, but I don't think too many people ran their best. I was running on street tires-Nitto NT555.
This was my best run:
60' 2.317
1/8 9.23
MPH 80.16
1/4 14.026
MPH 101.73.

I don't think the track was hooking all that well. On of the guys that came down ran his 08 GT500. With M&H drag radials his best times were: 60' 1.95
1/4 12.75
MPH 109

2010 Camaros with a manual on street tires were only hitting 13.9 to 14.5 and the one R/T challanger was only hitting mid 14s.

I checked the DA for that day and it was 1415' my corrected E.T and MPH was 13.86 at 103.5. In retrospect I don't that's too bad on an almost unprepped track running on street tires.

Those times you posted for new Camaros and Challengers are pretty much average from what I've seen...too bad they have all that power and can't do anything with it. Pretty decent times for a gear and intake car, man! Get those 60' under 1.80 with some sticky tires and you'll be all set.

Thanks. I usually run the 1/8 mile. The track is much better prepared, but the DA' is usually around 3,000 to 4,000' Best time at the 1/8 mile is 8.76 at 82. M/T ET streets are the next item on my list. I just hope my clutch holds up. I already have 64K on it.

Meh. I've got over 100 passes on my stock clutch with a 10 psi KB on it and it's just now starting to let go at 53-ish thousand miles...almost all of which were boosted.
