MT Drag Radial User's
What kind of times are you guys getting? Just curious, our tracks around here aren't the greatest, wondering if a better track would make that much difference in my car or not?
Anybody have a bad track, then go to a good track and see a large improvement? Looking for Drag Radial guys, MT is what I use.

Well I have two buddy's that use them one is a c5 zo6 that puts out 600rwhp and the other is is a c6 twin turbo that puts out 650-800rwhp depending which esp he is on. C5 cuts 1.5 60 foot and 10.3 in the 1/4 and the C6 on converter cuts 1.4 60 foot and does a 9.81 in the 1/4. They are a bad ass tire but if it's and every day driver the tires burn up quicker then the nitto drs.

What is your set up? Power? Manual or auto (probably the most important question)?
Were both cars auto? The 1.29 is VERY ipmressive, but I highy doubt it was with a T56.

Yeah, I kind of figuerd the Cobra was an auto.
That 1.58 is pretty damn respectable with a manual, what was your set up (power, tires size, engine combo, gear)? My best on 26" ETdrags and 3.55 gears has been a 1.43, but Im planning on switching to a 28" slick and 3.90 gears, and a 275/60/15 on the street. I may try the DR at the track just to see what it will do. I really want to do some back to back testing against the ET drags.

I've never used dr's on my stang but my best 60' in my ta on et radials is a 1.567 with a 4l60e,3.73's and a mild lt1. It still has the stock front suspension too.

i made 2 passes in my new car this past weekend and it has a built 4r70w and 325/50/15 et street radials and it went a 1.46 60' and still has a little more left in it.. I stopped running it after that pass because it was missing and i couldnt run it all out...

whats the tread life on these ? i was looking at getting a set of 275's in case i go boost or juice in the future, but no point in buying now if theyre gonna run out after one summer of driving... otherwise i have a set of used 275 nitto dr's that still have life left in them. 4.10s have been hell on the all-seasons.

it all depends on how much you race and do burnouts.... if you dont race a lot you might get a year out of them...

im not sure on my exact mileage from last year (speedo is still a little off from the 4.10s) but im guessing i did about 5k miles in the nice weather.. most people say the et radials will do maybe 4k tops ? im thinking the nitto drags will be the better bet. and supposedly they last 10k or so. thats about two summers for me. enough to last me until i can afford boost anyway. then ill worry about the mickeys. but right now i get holeshot by pickup trucks and hondas and have to chase them down on the top end. which is non-existent on my car.

I ran my 275/50/15's and had 60 or so passes and around 10k miles on them before they were shot. whats funny is even as they were headed out my worst 60' on them was a 1.70.

Seeing times like those with a 112 trap sometimes makes me want to swap to an auto in my wifes AI H/C LT1. I recently got an 11.7 @ 122 out of it with a weak 1.9 60 ft. I'm pretty much coming out off idle. I recently put a set of 4.10s in the stock 10 bolt. each time I let out the clutch, I feel as if I'm yanking the pin out of the grenade! I want to get a rear under it and launch it the way it wants to be launched.......of the limiter ![]() I'm shooting for an 11.3 with it, but only time will tell. I'm pretty confedent that it'll do it if I can get it into the 1.5 60ft range. But I definately need to upgrade the stock supension and rear first!

Oh yeah you have plenty of mph to get to a 1.5x 60'. My car has never had great mph but has always pulled great 60's. I'm shooting for 11.5x' this year as I'm not changing much just some suspension upgrades(going all adjustable) and trying to drop some wieght. If you do blow the rear up look into getting a Durango rearend as they're the same length as an fbody rear so all you gotta do is weld brackets for the susp to bolt to.
