In Cecil, GA (SGMP) Sunday March 26, 2006

Southern V6 Racing Schedule:
1. Gate will open at 8:30 AM

2. Test and Tune will begin at 9:00 AM utill 10:00 AM

3. 10:00 AM Till 12:30 PM Qualifying Rounds

* Round 1 N/A First, Power Adders Second & Heads Up Third
* Round 2 N/A First, Power Adders Second & Heads Up Third
* Round 3 N/A First, Power Adders Second & Heads Up Third
* Round 4 Complete qualifying runs (If Needed)

4. 1:00 PM till 3:00 Elimination Rounds

* Round 1 eliminations N/A Only
* Round 2 eliminations N/A (Buy back) First, Power Adders Second
* Round 2 eliminations N/A First, Power Adders (buy back) Second
* Round 3 elimination If Necessary (based on attendance)
* Round 4 elimination If Necessary (based on attendance)
* Semi Finals N/A First, Power Adders Second & Heads Up Third
* Finals N/A First, Power Adders Second & Heads Up Third

I am registered for the N/A Bracket class, and the guys at v6power know an editor at MM&FF, so we will take digital pics and write some articles for submission to the magazine.

(expecting high 14s out of my bolt on 6er- will find out after test n tune locally this thurs what i will be running with the 4.10s/t-lok combo)

If I actually lived a little closer i would seriously go, but i would get my butt kicked becuase the only track ive ever been on with my stang is a dirt track.....Don't ask... :award

i might get a high 14 second pass pending the conditions. it was foggy and drizzling tonight and i pulled a:

The gears (once you hook) really make a difference. The highway drive to the track gave me a headache at 2500 rpms at 65 mph for 30 minutes straight (i still have a ringing in my ears)

if joe brings his video camera he can get a soundclip of it for me. at idle, sounds like a stock gt, at WOT, it is loud, very loud. i raced a 96-98 gt tonight and he beat me by a half car or so. when we got back to staging, he thought he beat a 99+gt. told me since both wheels spun and the way it sounded... had to pop the hood to tell the guy a 3.8L is almost as fast

well, broke a seal on the transmission in macon, ga near warner robins and got a hotel for saturday night. my uncle drove down with the trailer and some tools and we got the seal back on from the driveshaft, but the major harm was done. we trailored the car to SGMP and only got 2 test and tune runs in. on a slipping transmission with no idle and a locked converter, i ran a 15.025 @ 91.37 with a .065 r/t.

I had the fastest n/a car there, the best r/t, and possibly best in show. i could have won the bracket racing, 200 bucks, 2-3 trophies and had a blast, but we ended up hauling the car home at 1:30 today. this week, we rebuild my transmission or put a new one in. a guy with all my mods, but instead of 4.10s, he had 3.73s ran a 14.7 @ 94mph. I am expecting a 14.5-14.6 1/4 time (cecil hooks awesome, i love this track) at 95 or so mph with a new transmission.

all in all, i had a blast, met some cool people, and will see what i can do next year

Sorry to hear about the tranny issues but man with all that trouble and last minute work thats pretty damn impressive.

correction, the winner today ran a 14.103, Adam from greenville, sc, ran a 14.7, but he has every mod i have, but i have 4.10s, he has 3.73s- i can run a mid 14
