5.0 Vs Gmc 454

So mym pop has decided he has heard enough stories about me winning races and has decided to race me...I have a 95 5.0 highoutput and just bought 3.73 Cai and #inch catback...he is driving a crate motor 454 in his pickup all stock...What do yall think? prove pop wrong???

don't think your going to prove him wrong man.

a 454 is rated somewhere between 350-450 hp depending on the year.
weight also comes into plaY.. WHAT IS THE MOTOR IN?

theres only about 5 different 454 crate motors some have over 600 some under 350.

are you sure its in an 04, b/c thats a shit load of work to get a Gen 2 motor into a vehicle with a gen 4 small block.

its prob easier to put a chevy motor in a fox body
