Gt Vs Ls1
ok i know a ram air trans am have littlebit more hp than gt's but i got called out over the phone for a race in 2 weeks and put money up. its a 2001 ram air 6 speed, with long tubes, slp lm2 catback, tune,slp lid, and possible idk if he has installed them 3.90s.
check my mod list do i have a chance on beating him??? any tips

im going to cut the exhaust off and borrow my cuzins mickeys, so i can launch as hard and fast as i can im keepin this a secret until race day and pull a run wut u brung... wut do u think about exhaust cut?

Um I hope you've got the 100 shot jets installed. Seeing his mods makes me think it'll be an extremly close race. 01-02 ss' and ws6's all came with ls6 intake from the factory which is about a 10-20 rwhp gain over they're 98-00 couterparts. Most bone stock 6spd 01-02 cars trap around 105 with a good driver and with his mod list he should have no problem traping 110+. that is unless that tune he has sucks or he can't drive for crap.

yea for sure 100 shot is going in!! "ls6 intake,ram air" Why couldnt ford do this to MUSTANG!!! im going to launch low 1 o/d off and high rev as possible as i can, hopefully the mickeys grip and get a lead on the start. i pretty sure he just going to show up with his regular street tires...

im pretty sure he'll pull you. those cars stock are wicked fast. nitrous can wake our cars up though. how much money are you putting up on it?

200 BILLS!!! and i was going to chopp of exhaust some were before chambers. my exhaust is still stock... do u think that will help???

since your a basically stock auto with a 100 shot, I'd say save your money, he's a full second or so faster than you even when your spraying. he's just trying to work you.

I didn't realize he had an auto till just now. Yeah dude he's gonna own you. Maybe if you had slicks and he had street tires and you went from a dead stop you'd have a chance but not the way you sit.

unless its a beat up LS that thing should easily trap 113 and if hes auto your in big trouble the only way i can see you beating him is with a converter.. if u had a converter u can launch hard on the nitrous and hopefully make up for the mph if its locked in already your only hope is buying jets .57 and .33[125] make sure your tune didn't pull any timing mount 2 donuts up front unbolt you exhaust and try you hardest to gut your cats pull the bak seats out, and make sure you launch on the nitrous
oh and pull out ur system jack all that. this is very common for a well taken care of ls1

4.6's need the back pressure to make hp. If you do that you could loose hp, and sound like crap while you loose. I would save your money and get some mods. If your looking at turbo.. Your going to need to replace the internals of your engine depending on the boost so you don't blow the motor. (i.e. lots of work.. lots of money..)
