Rabon's pro mod

Mods move this where it needs to be if this isnt the place for it.

we are going to be finishing up Coby Rabon's pro mod on tues. him and Steve Petty will come pick it up on wed and then we will all go to ATL to test and tune. if all goes well, he will be running at NHRA unleashed this weekend in ATL. Hope you guys like the progress. when we get it all wrapped up, i will post some more pics for ya. this should be interesting. his last run i believe was a 5.96@243. somewhere close to that mph.

little info:
670ci proline motor
twin precision 108mm turbos
big stuff
racepak
ams-1000
billet intake manifold
mark williams rear end

those are just a few things. that list could get very lengthy.lol

Not sure I would run a turbo car in Pro Mod but it looks cool.

last hit it went 4.13@187 and that was lifting. 1st pass the cap burnt up and we werent able to get it started for the 2nd qualifying run. the other promod guys voted against a 3rd qualifying session. im pretty sure they had their reasons. and i think this is why. the number 1 qualifier ran a 4.18 which wasnt bad considering the track conditions. our 3rd run that we made, which ended up being a shakedown run, we went 4.13. that was really the 1st run on the new setup. petty turned the power down so we could see what the car was going to do. needless to say, we just ran out of time this weekend due to every other car oiling down the track. steve petty and kenneth will have all day to tune the car tomorrow. so, i will let you guys know what he runs.

yes the adrl guys this weekend were hauling ass. but they didnt have 140 degree track temps either.lol none the less though, they did haul ass.

he hit the wall and bent some of the chassis up on the front and messed up the carbon body. we repaired all off it and put the turbos on the firewall. its 1 of my favorite promods too.

How many of those blown cars were turbo? I'd be surprised if there was another turbo Pro Mod car. Pro Mod runs on a Pro Tree. You can run the fastest time all day but if you're waiting at the line for the turbos to spool, you'll be on the trailer after first round.

everybody has their opinions on turbos versus screws. yes it does take a bit to spool but coby is still cutting a .998-1.0 60 foot. something is spooling up.lol

lynch is running the same 670ci as coby. his chassis this year is a 2010 zr1. pretty badass setup too. the charge pipe is the frame.

Is TXCW Texas Chassis Works?

I'm not knocking the turbos, it's just a unique setup for Pro Mod.

yes sir. texas chassisworks.

turbos are a little harder to deal with on these cars compared to screws. it would be easier to run a screw but once you get the right tune and gearing, it starts to click. turbo setups look better anyway.lol
