ANYONE SEE PINKS ALL OUT!!

DUDE WTF Was up with the people and the Ford bodies with chevy motors and chevy bodies with Ford motors? I must ask, Why do people do that and not just get a 100% chevy or 100% Ford from the very beginning?

Because it's faster to put a BBC in a small Fox body? Comparable F-bodies weigh more and BBF aren't as fast? Try posting in the Clubhouse / Racer forum though.

Thanks for asking them to delete the post; I know they don't enforce the topic rules very strictly, but it's still nice to not clutter boards with off topic stuff. Not to mention, you may get a better response in the right forum!

But before we get deleted, I would just say that it's not always the case that Ford body + Chevy engine = the win. However, Foxes are light and cheap, especially if you just wanting a rolling chassis. From what I've seen it's cheaper to build Chevy engines than Ford, atleast small block wise. So it's a good way to build a drag car on a budget.

Well does the 350's bolt right up to the Ford tranny?

I don't know, but I think the common swap is put the Chevy engine and trans in, keep the rear end or upgrade to a Ford 9 if you make serious power.

oh, well not doing that! LOL

Hell if people stop ordering from Jegs, the parts will be cheaper to buy just as the cost of a cheapy motor. I must admit, the World Ford motor do cost a hell of a lot like, $12,000 seriously for a motor with 635hp. I know I can build that much much cheaper and still achieve the hp.

Crap, I meant Chvey motor

Well I'm sorry, I will be disrespecting my Ford Family if I was to even think about getting Chevy valve covers. I really don't see the point in flip flopping engines like that. Hell 306 with twins and good heads and a great set of head gaskets can make 600hp off the bat if i'm not mistaken, so take that to a 351 or 400 and have a blast.

I will admit that camaro was fast as hell and guess what...(FORD ENGINE)
