first 3 kills at pittsburgh race way

sense i have owned my care for the whole month and 2 weeks know i only have race it once at pittsburgh race way. my first race i ran a 16.2 spinning the whole way down the track and my girl friend was in the car with me i beat a 1773 big block trans am he ran a 17.7. the second was agains a ls1 camaro he ran a 14.7 and i ran a 14.6 and the last kill was a chevy cavalier with a build motor and turbo he ran a 16.9 i ran 14.5 i dont think i did to bad for my first time at the track with this car what do you guys think.

yeah like 2 weeks ago they said that they had the most street cars there sense they opened. or at least thats what the tech guy said

good times, i think you can run faster though. with my gt when it was almost stock i ran a 14.6 spinning down the track.

what were your 60' times?

i would have to find the time slip its in my car some time i think my car has 13.5s in it

you said in your other thread it has gears and exhuast, right? if it hooks i see a 13.5

that would be correct i have gears exhaust no headers yet cold air intake and pullies and pro 5 0 shifter

what year is your cobra? and i plan to attend a few test n tunes at prp this summer as well.....you said your gf rode in the car with you?, i didnt think you were allowed to have passengers at the drag strip?

screw test & tunes, they don't usually do a very good job prepping the track, you guys need to come up & hang out with us on a raceday.

most racedays are saturdays, but there are a few sundays. stop by if you make it up, our rented pit spot (so were always in the same spot) is right next to the street lanes bathroom on the track side (ie. the spot looking right down the track). check out their web site for race day details, Pittsburgh Raceway Park - Official Website

I dont like that track, we usually run at Quaker it tends to be a better run, better prepped, and better program all around, and by choice I would run Dragway 42 or Norwalk

Do you guys go as a club or crew ? if so im looking for one. other then that im in and i do agree norwalk is one of the nicest tracks i have been to. im also going to try and make it out to atco NJ some time most likely next year

no club, just some old bracket racers hanging out, stop by.
as far as other tracks, I hear you, it's just so close to go to PRP that its tough to get motivation to go elsewhere (we're every weekend, points type bracket racers, not once in a while test & tuners, its hard to run for points at a track 2+ hours away).
we will be going to QCR on aug 7th & Mason Dixon on aug 20-23 though.
