Cost to run at drags....

Hello everyone, I'm doing some research for a project and would need to gather details on the costs of racing at drags..ie..cost to get in and cost to run. I'm curious to know how much it costs to get into the facilities and/or the cost to run on the track (both 1/8 and 1/4 mile drags). Please let me know from your experiences...

Thanks again for any info you can provide.

The track in Denton was 1/8th mile and it was $15 to race and $10 per person to get in.

Here in Orlando at the 1/4 mile track it's the exact same....

Depends on the track. Most have websites you can check out the pricing. Our local track is $15 to race on Test n Tune nights.

Awesome, thanks everyone for the feedback, the more the merrier. One more quick question....I see there are test and tune nights and I know here in Fayetteville, NC there is an event that does test and tune...do they actually allow you to run and then they do tuning done on the side? How's this work? Any feedback would be great....I know Faleen knows about this, any insight anyone?

Thanks,

No, the track doesn't have a service on the side that tunes your car, its called "Test and Tune" cuz it allows serious racers to bring their car and test it down the track and then see if their tune setup is helping or not, some people bring laptop computers and they can change things on the tune of the car and see what combination helps the most

test and tune more means anyone can race for testing and tuning purposes, but if we get a group to go on the 6th we will all be able to help each other. Oh and the prices I listed are the fayetteville prices.

test and tune usually just means ricers. its cheap and theyll let a geo race.
all the tracks in houston, sealy, and baytown texas cost $10 to get in and an additional $10 to race. 1 of the tracks lets girls in free.

My track is 10 bucks to run all night long Wednesdays and Thursdays. Come weekend nights it's 25 bucks and you may or may not see more than one run. Be sure to go to a test n tune night... you'll get more time to see what you can do. Usually is 10 bucks to bring a guest as well.
