Can 1/8th mile times give est 1/4th times?
Someone said that there was a formula to figure out approx 1/4mile times from an 1/8th mile slip? I tried searching with negative results so far. Anyone else heard of this?

Multiply your 1/8 by 1.56 (or maybe it's 1.58 but it's one of those). Obviously this is with optimal traction.

to do it in your head you can take the 1/8 th mile time and cut that in half and then add that number to the original 1/8th time and it will give a rough estimate. it wont be right on but it will be in the neighborhood!
