is low 30's to cold to race?

Going to test-n-tune Friday but its gonna be in the low 30's!!! Should I just wait and go Saturday? its gonna be 65 then. and on a side note my driver side spring is busted, if I remove my front sway bar is this gonna be a problem??

Then it looks like i will be racing friday and saturday. Im new at racing so I really dont know what im doing yet. I understand the cooler air = more power but just did not know if traction would be an issue cause of the cool pavement.

I think you should get your equipment in order (busted spring) before you take it to the track. Why risk your safety and the safety of the driver in the other lane?

Yeah I wouldn't be racing with a broken spring.

And if it were me, I wouldn't race unless there are a lot of cars constantly going on it to keep the heat on the track up a bit. That's just me though...

Well I chose not to remove my sway bar since I have a broken spring. It took me awhile to get used to the nittos but I think I figured them out. It was cold!! but I ran my best time ever in the 1/8 8.74 Casper g/t you are right more experience is needed at that temp. All the guys making lots of horse pwr chose only to run once or twice. Saturday its gonna be 65 and sunny. cant wait to see if I could get to 8.6. Thats my goal for tomorrow

LOL, possibly but more likely its from the car actualy hooking up. on that pass was the first time it did not spin off the line. I will be getting everything fixed this winter starting with the spring, then off to get some moser axles and then maybe some go fast goodies

damn 8.74 in the 1/8, pretty good bro. Best I ran was 9.2 but it was in way hotter temp and i wasn't gripping at all. Oh and the Homestead track kinda sucks in prep (aka No track prep) But seeing that you broke your axle you wont be going back for some time.

Good luck on your fix,
-Rob

8.74 is good. I did 8.71 on Nitto 555's and stock gears. Have yet to try DR's or my 3.3's out.
What were you trapping. I trapped 79mph
