A lot of GTO's with half assed drivers can get low 13's. It also depends on the year, as there is a 50ph swing from I think '04-'05, maybe '05-'06.
As for your car with your mods, if your a great driver who can launch and take advantage of your gears, you will most likely edge one out in the 1/8th, and a big maybe in the 1/4. You deffinantly don't want to try one from any kind of a rolling start. |

Ran one several times a few weeks ago. It was one of the new ones. I know the car will do better, but he could only get high 8.8s out of it in the 1/8th.
It was kinda funny cause when he saw me lining up, he made a B-line to get in line to race me. We ran 3 times and after he lost those, he gave up and let his girl drive for the rest of the night. She couldn't get it below the 9 second range.

Without it, I'm pretty close to stock, gears/off road x/and a good tune. I think I could take one. I run a 13.1 in the 1/4 n/a right now, and I'm pretty sure they are a little slower than that... |

i think it all depends on the driver and wehter if its the 5.7 gto or the 6.0 gto if its the 6.1 say a prayer before and drive like hell
Pontiac's reborn muscle car gets more power for 2005. GTO is based on a car built by Holden, GM's Australian branch, and is offered only as a midsize coupe. A modified Chevrolet Corvette V8, now up from 5.7-to 6.0-liters and 350 to 400 horsepower

I have raced several GTOs (both the 350 hp and 400 hp versions) and beaten them all. The secret is the launch. The closest one was one that had heads/cam/intake work completed by a local performance shop. I edged him with by about .10 but he had by almost 5 mph on the big end. I barely held him off. I think I ran a 12.9 @ 107 to his 13.0x 111. Don't get in a street race or they will own you on the big end without a power adder.

I raced a new 6.0 GTO and he had custom side exhaust and a few bolt-ons and took him from a 70 mph roll by a car length. I should be pushing just a bit more ponies with the 331 stroker but you should be making up for it with the stiffer suspension and body of the newer Stangs.......hope that helps! Take em down bro!!!

gee ya think they are much faster. they should be for the sticker being like 43 g's or so. on top of that most people buying them are paying 10 to 20 grand extra. maybe i could replace my 07 gt with an 08 shelby gt500 when i go back to iraq. pay off the gt and special order the gt500 and pay only sticker price.

Slap the people paying 10-20 over, here in birmingham, they are having trouble moving them for sticker, most have gone to dealer cost here to move them off the lot.
