New gears (price/rpms?)

What's the typical price for labor to have a set of gears installed?
Also what's the RPM increase at 60mph for 3.73 or 4.10s?

Thx

Not sure on the price since I did the install myself, but with 3.73s I'm at about 1800 RPM at 60 mph (I believe).

I'd like to give it a shot myself, but everything you read scares you into thinking it's heart surgery.

Any details on your install?

I just paid exactly $410 after tax for my 4.10's (gears + labor). I could have saved a few bucks by purchasing the gears separately, but I wanted the warranty on the job.

That sounds like a good deal, what brand of gears did you get?

FRPP. So glad I didn't go 3.73 for my N/A 2V.

Took it up to 90 yesterday and was at an even 3,000 RPMs.

Good info, I'm waffling between the 3.73's and the 4.10s. I'm a little concerned would bring the RPMS up too much.

i just switch from 3.73 to 4.10 a few months ago. Im turing 2,400 rpm at 60 with 4.10 and about 2,100 with 3.73. I paid $510 for my gears to be installed

That was Mustang Magic on Long Island. They work on Stangs all day long and do good work. I did have a 10% club discount on labor from another forum which saved about $20.
