Finally going to the track!

Today will be my 3rd time going. Hopefully I can get more than 2 passes. I'm aiming for high 12's until I get my skills better. Any predictions for a rookie at the track?

My mods are-
Vortech s/c @ 9psi. 403rwhp/403rwtq.
O/R X pipe
Short shifter
275 Nitto555r's

I'd say 12.4's@118 unless you get it to hook really well.

Should run bottom 12's or even break into the 11's with traction. Run low tire pressure and do a good 5sec 2nd gear burnout with those nitto's. Also launch it as high as possible.

Yeah I was there. I saw you car, it looked sexy man!

My best run of the day was a 13.14@108, before that was a 13.15@110

I need to practice my launch more. I didn't lower my tire pressure because it was opening weekend and I didn't want to get to crazy with everything but next time I definitely will. I'm also goin' to try and get a line lock. I'm horrible at burnouts lol.

I'm # 297.

Looks like you needed to do a longer burnout, the 555R's need to be pretty warm to hook

Yeah man, I got nervous and stalled twice in the box. lol I need a line lock badly.

It would be easier to do a burnout if you go around the water box,
back the back tires in the water box,
pop the clutch in 1st just to turn the tires over a time or 2 to coat them in water,
pull up out of the water box a few feet,
then rev it up and pop the clutch in 2nd and hold the brake and if it tries to stall then do a 1st gear burnout instead,
when you think the tires are warm enough let off the brake and pull out of the burnout spinning a few feet and then your ready to stage

thanks! yeah i knew i saw you lol. nice times! you and i are pretty close! my best was 13.02 @ 18.68... i launched a little better than you, but your mph was a little higher

Were you on a 9 second pass and slammed on the brakes at the 1000ft mark?
