Something wrong with this 60 ft time?

Went to the track yesterday with a best of a 1.659 60 ft and 8.3 et in 1/8th. Something seem wrong with this? I asked my buddies at the track if their times were off any, and they said no same as they were at other tracks. It was 53 degrees and it was coming out of whole hard, then bogging down in second. This is an auto, w/ front sway bar removed and about 160lbs of weight reduction, and i wasnt on the nitrous.

What was the trap speed? What was the launch RPM's? On motor or the spray?

On motor, they dont put speed on the timeslip (idk why) pretty sure it was around 86, automatic, i can only launch about 2200. It just seems like the timing system messed up on this pass. My other passes were like 8.37 and 8.32 with sixty foots around 1.75 and 1.77

none of the times make much sense without a converter, but the first one was defenately a fluke.

Yeah that 60 foot was way fast for a non stalled auto and your times are pretty fast to only be leaving at 2,200 rpm's on motor

Exactly, thats what i was thinking. My normal 60 fts yesterday were around 1.77 and then that one. I figured it was a timing mistake. I have timeslips for all of my runs, a 05 gt with just a zex 100 shot was running 8.09. a 2011 gt ran a 8.31 on street tires spinning horrible since the temp was around 50. All in all it was a good day and i won 200 dollars for my class.

I don't know just a whole lot about autos, but I think that's a pretty good time. I think it's got some more left in it, though.

Your 60 does look off. Probably a leaf on the track. I've never hit 1.6's, best I've ever had is 1.709. This past fall I was running 8.16's with 1.71 60's. I did have a 1/4 mile trap of 770mph once. lol.

Yeah, i figure my 1.77 is my true 60 ft. Oh well i know my car has more in it on motor, and should dip into the 7's on nitrous pretty easily.

Yep you should have no problem getting in the 7's on spray, im hoping to get around a 7.75-7.9 on motor once i get some lighter wheels and launch around 6,000 RPMS

I have Jeg's Sport Lites. My 15x4 frontrunners weigh 25 lbs each (as opposed to my 18s with 265s which weigh 55 lbs each). Frontrunners will make a big difference. Any time you can take weight off the front of the car, you're going to see major improvement.

I don't have weight info on my rears. Sorry.

Only thing "wrong" with those 60fts is that they are way faster than they should be from the list of mods in your sig and a stock converter (at least without running the juice). How much does your car weigh?

yeah the 60 ft is definetely off. My others were all in the 1.75-1.8 area. I dont know how much the car weighs but it only has maybe 160 lbs of weight reduction.

Thanks for the info on the sport lites i had been looking at them and the summit ones. What size tire do u run on the front? 165s? My aluminum ones up front weigh like 38 lbs, but thats better than my bullitts which were around 50 or so.
