How deep in the 1.5's is your best 60ft? The 12.19 a ran in my 04 gt in my sig was ran with a 1.66 60ft on slicks but stock 3.27 gears. But that was on a 100 wet shot. My TA has a best of a 1.567 60ft on just 275/50/15 mt dr's and 3.73's. Have you not ran a 1/4 track since you've been cutting 1.5's.

Your car has always been impressive f8l. I hope tha next time i get my TA back to the track it's cutting high 1.4's. Granted it's race weight is gonna be about 400+ lbs heavier than yours at around 3550(still has stock k-member,a-arms and full intierior).

but the TA should also have way more power than my car so that should help even out being a heavier car

Op are you droping the clutch before or after you stab the throttle? A 1.7 with 3.90's and slicks seems alittle slow. It's not bad though.

It's only making about 360rwhp really not a whole lot. And it's going through a 4l60e and a 3800 stall convertor. Your 5spd helps your car out alot as far as your ability to squeeze all the power out of your car. When was the last time you dyno'd your car f8l? Going off of your mph your car should be making close to 280 or your car is alot lighter then i think it is. I was guessing 3150 but it must weigh closer 3000. 500-600 more lbs and 10% more drivtrain loss puts them really close. My car is still on dr's and traps about 5 more mph than your but yours still hooks really well.

When I was looking for my nitrous kit I looked at the venom but read too many horror stories of engines eating themselves at 50/100 shots with their kit...I went with a compucar setup...I think it is still floating around the forums somewhere...I lost quite a bit of money on that setup...

Yikes that's kinda scary. And thats closer to what i first thought f8l. You traped 107 and had a race weight of 3250. My 04 trapped 102.5 at just under 10 less rwhp and 300+ more lbs. My TA weighed 3600 the last time i had to the track and traped 112. It makes roughly 90-100 more rwhp(i haven't had it dyno'd in a long time) traps 5 more mph and weighed 350 more lbs. F8l do you plan on making anymore power or are you leaving the setup the same? How much weight are you taking out? A 1.4 60ft is gonna be nearly impossible unless you chage gears and add power or add power and reduce the weight by alot. Mid-high 1.5's should be attainable though.

my 1.6 60', the rear was unloading and also the tires were spinning. I put a whole new rear suspension set up in the car along with swapping out my front springs. Also the car should be quite a bit lighter now with the added weight reduction

1.6xx? How deep in the 1.6's are you right now? Like i said i hope to be hit high 1.4's(1.47-1.499) and i'm already cutting mid 1.5's. It gets alot harder to better your 60ft the faster you go.

Your gonna need to pick up some power or lose around 400lbs to get near 1.4's. Not trying to bring you down just speaking from experiance in trying to better a 60ft time.

Normally I would drop and then stab, the 1.5 pass I stab then drop.
The reason....
I only got to do 3, 1/4 mile passes with the 3.90's and only one was on the nitrous. See 2 months before that trip I was running the 100 on the stock rear with the same slicks. I launched and broke a few teeth off the spiders hence the rear end rebuild and build up lol. After GTR install the new rear end set up I went back and was force to remove the nitrous tank because I didn't have a blow down tube. So after 2 NA passes (low 13's) I said screw it put the bottle back in and made the last pass. The next weekend I was at Irwindale and got the 1.5. 2 weeks later I oredered the short block from MMR and shortly after picked it up and haven't made it back to the track yet.
