So glad I didn't listen.......

to uninformed people on the message boards. If I had I would be running a 100 shot, granny shifting, and launching at 3500 on drag radials wondering why I was so slow. As it turns out the first time to the track this year with no new mods I ran a new personal best of 7.12@98.61 in the 1/8. Now if you do the math that's ~ 11.10 in the 1/4. Of course we know that doesn't count but it's fun to dream.

So instead of listening to people you went with a 150 shot and CMS stage 2 cams? Nice time. I dont know why people run 1/8 tracks. I hate 1/8 tracks.

Yes, I launched at 5500 on 28" Hoosier QTP's turned it to 6400 through the traps. The nearest 1/4 track to me is 2 1/2 hours away. Besides the 1/8 is where it all happens, I'm in top gear by then and all I do the second 1/8 is keep it off the wall. lol

Nice looks like she pulls the front left nicely. What gears for the 28" tire? 5500 is about right. 28" will bog if you launch at 3500 or lower.

Those calculators are not really that great of a tool. They can estimate but so many things go into.

I hear you, I was at bowling green but without the car, it's been sitting since columbus more or less.

I did start getting it sorted out today though.

those calculators aren't fool proof, but their nice to have.

they mainly work for a vetran driver in a very well sorted out car though.
