Track results: First time out and pleased:)
Well is was a great evening for racing last night at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce Ga. Temps were low 60's to low 50's over the evening. Got to make 5 passes on the night w/o breakage and no missed shifts. Car was crazy consistent though out the night and exceed my expections. Here is the run down
Pass #1 r/t .195 60" 1.997 1/8 8.832 @82.91 1/4 13.716 @101.40 Pass #2 r/t .162 60" 2.090 1/8 8.864 @81.46 1/4 13.718 @101.54 Pass #3 r/t .345 60" 2.024 1/8 8.878 @80.29 1/4 13.736 @101.43 Pass # 4 r/t .139 60' 2.091 1/8 8.869 @83.42 1/4 13.737 @101.56 (think this could have been my best pass but shifted to 4th to soon @5200) Pass 5-spun bad to a 13.89. I know were suppose to improve as the night goes on which is what i've done in the old Stang. But my first pass was the best of the night. Overall I'm more than happy w/ the first outing. The MT ET streets appear to have a fine line between hooking and spinning as I tried to vary lauch rpm's. My best pass was 25psi and launching at about 2500. I raised launchs to between 3-4k o a few passes and it spun and lost 60' time. Anyway for a lightly modded GT i think it did ok considering I got the stock 3.27 gears. Lots of stangs were up there and most guys were all running the 3.73's or 4.10's. Race weight w/ driver was 3315 w/ front sway removed, skinnies on front, removed rear seat, tire, jack. I did not want to break her so tried not to just dump her but came out fast and smooth on the launchs.

Good going for your first time out.
I think you might want to try letting more air out of those tires for better 60' times. I would try 18 pounds and then play with it up or down in 1PSI increments from there. I generally start at 15 pounds and go from there, but I'm used to that "floating" feeling on the big end (at 116MPH) and it doesn't scare me anymore (like it did the first time LOL).

Nice man! Lol I was close guessing a 13.8 @ 100, I bet those tires would of hooked better with a little longer burnout.

get them 60ft's down to a 1.7 and you will see a 13.5ish out of it..
I was pulling 13.3 @ 103mph on my stock rear end gear with 1.8x 60ft's.. With close to the same mods.. Low the pressure to what was said before to 18psi. Long smokey burnout in 2nd gear to get the tires really spinning... Let her rip at like ~3500 and shift like hell..

Nice times! At my track, they only prep once on test and tune nights so the best way to get good times is to get there early and make a few runs. After about two hours, the track doesn't hook as well. Could be what happened to you as well.
I'm with Baz...you might try a different burnout. At your power level and stock gears, you shouldn't have trouble hooking with those tires. A little spin isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's better than bogging. You should be able to pull a 1.8 60' with those tires and a well prepped track.
