Well today was suppose to be a bracket race but with the crappy weather we had yesterday and low temps of today, the track was unsafe for competition with the faster class cars so they decided to make it a test and tune day. I went up and made my first pass, this thing hooked like crazy. The relocated uppers really helped. Any way, with it being a year since having the car out, nerves got to me and foot/hand coordination did work out for my and didnt go into 3rd correctly. I hot lapped back around and went again. Same thing happened to me. With 2 back to back runs I ran back to my pit to check the tires. While checking the tires I noticed that the wheels spun in the tires a lot more than they did before. I decided to go out for one last run. This time I went balls out. Left the line at 6k rpms, cut a 1.63 60', ran the hell out of it (for what the track would allow) and ran a 7.84 @86.01 mph. My previous best in the 1/8 was 7.96 @ 83.32mph. according to the calculators, the new best 1/8 should be around a 12.3x 1/4. I will find out in may what this thing will do in the 1/4. After I screw the tires to the wheels, I should be able to cut a little better 60'.

100% stock long block from intake to oil pan. Has never been opened up. I think there is a 7.7x still in it once I get everything dialed in. That should put me in to the low 12s for the 1/4

Very sweet. I'm sure there is still a little room for improvement especially after you figure out what it needs for that 2-3 shift. I hope for a successful track day this week. It will be my first time out this season as well

6k out of the whole!!! and she hooked!! WoW! Must have felt great.

How'd the faceplate work out?

I'm old school (and old) But I have no clue what 8th mile times are good. But, sounds good

Glad the car is running well.

Slow down just a tad for that 2/3 shift.

Very nice man congrats. I think once you get a better feel for the setup and what not, you could be in the 7.6 area, and low 12's.
